About the Internship
We are looking for a polished, detail oriented Assistant Editor who takes pride in their work and creativity to join our team. The ideal candidate must be self motivated, punctual, and passionate about the work and also be able to work under pressure with fast turn over deadlines. Good team collaboration is key. We are looking for a well rounded individual who takes initiative and shows leadership skills.
This is a part time unpaid internship that requires a minimum of three days per week for college credit. All of our interns have the potential for full time hire following their internship.
ResponsibilitiesWill be working directly with the Editor and Post Production Supervisor for Feature Films, Short Films, commercials, and EPKs.
Will be doing Assistant Editor work as well as assembly cuts for certain projects.
Logging and organizing media.
General office and administrative duties.
RequirementsMust be proficient with the editing software, such as Final Cut Pro 7 & X, Avid Media Composer, or Adobe Premiere Pro.
Must know the technical aspects of editing as well as story structure. A diverse knowledge of film and pop culture is a plus.
Must have an understanding of codecs, exporting, and converting video files.
Must have strong organizational skills and can navigate through Microsoft Excel and Word.
