Who we are: The Forensic Panel is the top forensic psychiatry and forensic medicine practice in the United States today, originators of ethical, peer reviewed oversight. Areas of expertise range from psychology, psychiatry, toxicology, pathology and more. In assisting judges and attorneys nationally on both sides of criminal and civil matters, The Forensic Panel consults on some of the most prominent and complex cases in America. Through development of research such as The Depravity Scale project, The Forensic Panel rigorously examines cutting edge issues as well. We enjoy and collaborate with a number of major media organizations.

Time Commitment:
20 hours, 4 to 5 days a week required. Internship shifts are from 9:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-7:00pm

*This is an un-paid internship opportunity in which interns have access to a variety of resources and receive training and supervision. Interns learn a ton!

Forensic Case Responsibilities:
• Interns at The Forensic Panel observe and participate in criminal and civil cases. The
opportunity provides interns with the platform to hone and develop their research/ investigative skills, which are essential in any behavioral science, legal or forensic field.
• Interns are exposed to interactions between attorneys and consultants, and a variety of top level experts in the forensic sciences.
• Interns learn each stage of the expert's involvement in the legal process including but not limited, case administration, record review, case research, assessment and interviewing and report writing.
• Interns actively participate in the research projects of The Forensic Panel as well, gaining exposure to methodology, data collection and data analysis.
• Interns are involved in legal and scientific writing assignments. Potential for publication.
• Interns are assigned cases for which they assist in collecting, reviewing and analyzing
research data, fact-finding, conducting record and literature reviews, and present findings in weekly supervision meetings.


The ideal candidates will have skills and experience in one of the following areas:
1. Document and administrative management
2. Investigative search and background checking
3. Social networking information and marketing
4. Website platform and IT
5. Writing, publishing, editing
6. Statistics and research methods

To Be Considered:
Must be self-motivated and team-oriented, with superior writing and communications skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
