DescriptionThe Bay Area OCD and Anxiety Center is seeking someone with a Bachelors or a Masters Degree in a Psychology-related field (BA in Psychology, MS, LPCC, LCSW, etc.) who is eager to gain experience working with children and adolescents with anxiety disorders. We are looking to train someone so they can serve as a Behavior Specialist for kids and teens in our clinic. Our clinic is a small, specialty clinic that treats children with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and related conditions (ADHD, Tourettes, High Functioning Autism, skin picking/hair-pulling).
The Behavior Specialist will be trained to work with children and families in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The IOP runs 4 days a week for 3-4 hours a day and provides clients with severe and impairing OCD with 1:1 session work. The Behavior Specialist would assist the primary therapist with exposure therapy, treatment planning, and coordination with caregivers. Supervision available for applicants working toward licensure (e.g., MFT, LPCC, LP. LCSW) or certification (BCBA).

-Experience before applying to graduate school or specialty training after graduate school.

-Minimum Bachelors Degree in Psychology or a related field
-Minimum 2 years experience providing direct services to children and families with mental health challenges or Autism.
-Basic understanding of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and anxiety disorders.
-Ideal candidate can commit to a minimum of 2 years.
-Available during program hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from approximately 9:30am to 2pm.
