ResponsibilitiesAre you looking for an opportunity to help people in some of the most difficult times of their life and at get invaluable hands on professional experience in one of the most dynamic and challenging psycho-social fields? If yes, becoming an intern in our bereavement program will allow you to do just this. In the Bereavement Program you will be introduced:
1. To the wonderful profession of grief counseling,
2. Learn how to perform psychosocial assessments, be involved in facilitating support groups,
3. Have the opportunity to learn about one-on-one counseling
4. Experience how the grief and bereavement services interface with our doctors, nurses, medical social workers and spiritual care coordinators.
Hospice in general provides a unique approach to physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual health that can’t experience anywhere else. We are looking for eager psychology, sociology, social work, pastoral and ministry majors to come join our team of trained bereavement Interns and volunteers, and begin your journey into exploring this rewarding career path.
