Description

A Clinical Intern provides therapeutic services to a child and family in an outpatient setting. Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor. The intern will develop an individualized treatment plan for each case; provide all authorized therapy in a strength-based manner; monitors and updates the treatment plan; and provides and documents case management activities.

Requirements

Education

Minimum Requirement – Master’s Degree in a clinical mental health discipline.
Experience

1 year of experience post master providing psychotherapy/counseling.
At least two (2) years experience in the mental health field.
Excellent working knowledge of clinical issues relating to children, adolescents or families.
Familiar with multiple child serving systems (e.g. education, juvenile justice, child welfare, mental health, drug and alcohol, health care and vocational rehab).
Skills and Qualifications

Ability to communicate and interact with all staff.
Ability to give clear and concise oral and written instructions.
Working knowledge of the Behavioral Health system.
