Description

Purpose Community Therapeutic Services is a counseling, education, and business consulting private practice in Metro Atlanta located in two convenient locations (Conyers and Douglasville). We service the community with counseling services programming at the age five years and older into adulthood with minor to moderate behavioral health concerns. If you are enthusiastic and willing to apply your strengths towards clinical skills, helping skills, modalities, etc along with assisting administrative tasks and marketing intern, then come join the team! We are expanding in growth and would consider you to grow within the group on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

The counseling intern will be responsible for the following:
 Marketing
 Outreach
 Group Therapy
 Intake Appointments
 Managing Case Load
 Discharge Planning
 Other Assigned Duties
 Community Meeting Attendance
 Developing Assessments and Treatment Plans in continuation of care
 Learning basic concepts and developing clinical background through orientation

Availability:
Candidates would need to be available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays
Must be available to work:
 Conyers and Douglasville locations on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (flexibility timeframe between 2:00 PM -8:00 PM)
(Hours will be adjusted accordingly to fit schedule requests at supervisor’s discretion)

Requirements

The requirements include current enrollment in a graduate program obtaining a Masters level degree in related field of counseling from an accredited school with the goal of obtaining a professional license in the state of Georgia inclusive of LPC LMSW, LMFT, or equivalent. In being considered as a candidate, an individual must have knowledge and experience with technology, office equipment and online networking. Candidates must be flexible with their schedule and location of service with being able to maintain balance amongst school, personal life, and work schedules in accumulating official hours. (Accredited school must accept private practice, check schools practicum/internship manual).
