Description

Greenberg & Associates in Petersburg, VA is looking for a doctoral level intern in Clinical Psychology, to perform supervised diagnostic evaluations, as well as provide outpatient therapy. Our agency offers a wide range of mental health services to various populations including children, adolescents, and adults, with a strong minority presentation. Mental health concerns most typically seen through this office include: depression, anxiety, identity issues, marital and family conflict, ADHD, Autism-spectrum disorders, bipolar disorders, adjustment disorders, and major physical health issues.

This is a year-long, full-time, salaried position, with a potential to develop in the company in a post-doctoral fellowship position. There is also an opportunity to teach various workshops and trainings that we offer, if you show interest in that area and prove competent. We currently have 2 licensed Clinical Psychologists on staff, as well as one license-eligible Clinical Psychologist, and a licensed Clinical Social Worker who would be responsible for your weekly supervision. Supervision would be both individual and group, with at least 2 hours of face-to-face contact per week. Furthermore, we offer a plethora of learning opportunities and didactic trainings, including case presentations, attendance to relevant seminars and outside workshops, as well as observations of diagnostic evaluations and outpatient therapy.

Responsibilities

Performing diagnostic evaluations, as well as providing outpatient therapy to all populations. Case management including note writing and discharge work.

Requirements

Must be a doctoral level student in a Clinical Psychology program, and have at least a 3.0 GPA.
