Position: Job Coach / Supported Employment Services
Service: In this role of Supported Employment you will coach/shadow a young adult in his 20’s with developmental/intellectual disabilities during his office based job including identifying appropriate ways of satisfying given tasks, providing the necessary support to enable him to succeed in the workplace, and most importantly being amenable to the upbeat and charismatic attitude of this individual.
Reports To: Facilities Supervisor
Status: Part Time: this position is eligible for a weekly stipend to cover expenses (such as gas and lunch money) and a bonus upon completing the semester (or quarter).
Work Schedule: Hours are from 9:00AM – 1:00PM. Please be available from these hours Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We can also work with your schedule if you are only available two days a week.

ResponsibilitiesPurpose of position: The primary focus of the Job Coach is:
1. Provide support for individual with disabilities to have success in his employment.
2. On the job training and ongoing support.
3. Excellent customer service.
4. Documentation of tasks.
5. Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
6. Serve as a liaison between employee, parents, and employer
7. Facilitate appropriate worker to supervisor relationship.
RequirementsQualifications / Education: The successful Job Coach is reliable, energetic, professional, flexible, and is a positive role model for the individual. Qualifications include:
Satisfactory oral and written communication, math, and computer skills.
Working towards either an AA or BA in special education or similar discipline.
Experience with adults who have developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required.
Must have a positive and upbeat attitude.
