DescriptionThe Samuel Lawrence Foundation is a non-profit that promotes human interaction in communities by encouraging broader access to art, culture, science, and medicine. Often times, we act as a lesion to help others that are trying to help their community.
We have recently partnered with an extraordinary woman trying to do extraordinary things. She has created a ‘school’ that caters to children who would otherwise fall through the cracks of standardized school systems. Her classroom is made up of children with severe ADHD and other similar disabilities. In a special and small setting, she helps children succeed through individual competency based programs that are designed, and re-designed, weekly.
She manages the school by herself, and we wish to find her an exceptional intern.
We are looking for someone who:
- Can easily work with children k-8
- Has extreme patience
- Is proficient in Math and Writing
- Is a believer in tough love
- Is open-minded and interested in the non-traditional
Her school location is in La Mesa, so a car would be a must. We would provide a stipend for gas + , in addition to college credit. She is looking for someone to help, ideally, Mon-Thurs 9-1. I understand this may be tough for students, so perhaps you could do half of so and I could find two interns.
Please feel free to call me at 714-864-7885 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in this special opportunity. We look forward to hearing from you!
