DescriptionOur company works with public health agencies, health associations, healthcare providers, non-profits, foundations and employers to align health initiatives to maximize collective impact. Our particular strength is in nutrition-related Healthy People 2020 topic areas. We work across coalitions of dozens to hundreds of companies on implementing our platform with the goals of improving health literacy, increasing access to health services, and aligning local health initiatives across our customers ecosystems.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will learn our approach for community health transformation and provide advisory services to our customers and their communities. You will learn how to implement community health transformation projects from the ground up, interacting with community leaders in senior roles across the entire public health landscape.
You will be responsible for performing research, aggregating and analyzing data, and developing briefings and reports about community health initiatives. (Please note that this is a fancy way of saying that you will be collecting a lot of data on health programs, entering that data into our databases, and crunching out analysis reports. This is either going to be boring for you, or thrillingly exciting if you are a geek like us... use this as a litmus test for identifying if this is the right internship for you!).
In this role you will interact with some of the most senior and important professionals at the federal, state and local levels of public and community health. You are expected to be highly, highly professional in your demeanor and communication style.
If you are based in the San Francisco, CA, Louisville, KY or New York, NY regions you may be required to come into the office at least once per week. Wherever you are, if you are up for it you will be asked to travel regionally.
Finally, while most of our opportunities are open to public health professionals from any background, we do have a couple roles for Data Scientists so if this is a strength of your background please note that prominently to us.
