DescriptionIntern will be involved in the planning, development and implementation of the Food and Mobile Van Project. The goal of this project is to collaborate with a wide variety of community partners from all sectors to bring fresh, healthy foods and other vital services and resources to community members in underserved areas with low-access to healthy living options. The project seeks to pilot the Van in East Cleveland, a City devastated by disinvestment and which is deemed a “food desert” (a neighborhood with low access to fresh, healthy food choices), and then to branch out to other communities with similar needs. We will pilot the program in East Cleveland, a partnership between PTL Development Corporation, Whole Vision LLC, Cleveland's large healthcare institutions, the Cleveland Foodbank, and the Cleveland Museum of Art. This is a wonderful networking opportunity, and a chance to help spearhead something new and amazing! Great for any portfolio!
