The Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association (SBCA) is looking of an unpaid intern for either one or two semesters. To apply for the position, please email a resume or letter of interest Amy Hager, SBCA Communications and Online Member Services Manager, at or call 202.744.3772 if you have any questions.
The internship is very customizable to the student’s needs and wants, but will primarily focus around interviewing and writing profile and feature stories for our suite of newsletters. There is a need for one to two stories a month, but can be increased if needed. Most interviews can be done via email or phone and will be conducted mostly at the Communications Department at SBCA. Some general online research is required for some stories and all stories are to be written in AP Style.
The Public Policy Department at SBCA focuses on local issues and mostly is done from our offices in DC. Interns will do clerical work, research and outreach on state and local public policy issues.

Manage the newsletters, write stories and interview, post newsletter on social media and website. Other duties if the intern is interested.
