We publish a weekly newsletter SAVANNAHMASTERCALENDAR going to 17,000 subscribers in the Savannah area, business owners and nonprofit leaders.
We host and create NETWORKING EVENTS for Savannah's Business Leaders and have done so for past 7 years.
INTERNSHIP POSITIONS: I need LOCAL interns with skills in

NEWSLETTER - help get weekly newsletter out - research event dates, times, locations, contact info.
Working on researching vendors, inputing clients contact information into database, working on monthly newsletter. Developing Promotional Materials for events.
Will learn how to plan a WORLD-CLASS global event - from start to finish, including Event Logistics and EVENT PROMOTION / MARKETING and learn corporate sponsorships, how to deal with all levels of govt, chambers of commerce, nonprofit charities and corporate executives. Building partnerships between public and private sectors.
Responsibilities_Specifically inputting contacts into excel spreadsheet, database program
_Excel Spreadsheet skills for costing out events
_Callings vendors to get quotes - good PHONE skills
_Designing Flyers, posters, banners, invitations for events
_Posting Events on Facebook
_Taking Photographs at events of key people, and posting / tagging these on facebook
_Researching contact info for VIPS to invite to events
_Working with Corporate Sponsors to donate goods /services for events
_Attending Networking events
_General Office duties
Requirements_MUST LIVE IN SAVANNAH AREA
_Strong People Skills -ability to listen and become friends with people easily
_Strong computer skills, especially with graphic design
_Excel Spreadsheet skills for inputting contacts into database
_Website building skills
_Knowledge of Social Media , Online Marketing
_Fundraising interest / nonprofit background
_Constant Contact Newsletter program skills
_BIG PLUS: Multicultural / multilingual - Spanish, French, Cultural Diversity, multicultural background is a big plus - able to work with all demographics, communities, black/white, straight/gay, corporate/nonprofit, old /young
_Pet Friendly is a big plus but NOT a must - campaigns often tie-in with pet charities, local Humane Society
_Interns will telecommute, but Office has a resident Cat and Miniature Dachshund :)
