DescriptionThe Larose Group, LLC (TLG) is a public relations, promotions and advertising firm targeting local and national accounts in corporate and professional services, nonprofit organizations, show and event promotions and multi-cultural fields. TLG is a fast paced and growing agency that offers great opportunities in an exciting atmosphere.
Interns will acquire hands-on experience in public relations, marketing, journalism, advertising, event operations and promotions. We are looking for creative individuals who are detail-oriented, energetic and able to multi-task. The position offers many opportunities to carry a portion of the responsibilities of a program or campaign and to see concrete results of your efforts. Often, interns will concentrate and “own” a detailed project, interfacing with the client(s) and media personnel.
ResponsibilitiesA typical day for an intern at the Larose Group will include, but is not limited to, drafting press releases, building media lists, research, pitching stories to media, writing web and blog posts, attending television and photo shoots, assisting on advertising campaigns, attending events to provide media support, faxing and scanning press clippings and general office duties.
RequirementsThe applicant must be willing to work hard to keep up with the fast pace of a full-service marketing firm, and must be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing. This position is located in the Bay Area, so potential interns must be able to commute to the job. The applicant must be computer savvy, proficient in office procedures, and have excellent phone skills. The ideal candidate stays up to date on current local, national and world news and enjoys writing, brainstorming new ideas, and the challenges and rewards of interacting with the media.
We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, proactive, fearless, creative, open-minded and has a great attitude. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a basic knowledge of social networking and new media. Experience in previous internships with Cision Database and BurrellesLuce Media Monitoring is a plus.
