DescriptionDeep Springs has a unique opportunity for a Communications Intern / Volunteer in Haiti. If you are at least 21 years old, are studying in a field related to development or public health, and are independent and adventurous, this may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Never met a stranger? Not afraid of tackling language and cultural barriers? If you answered yes, and you have excellent creative writing and social media skills, a positive "can do" attitude, and flexibility - you could make a difference in the lives of Haitians. Please contact us with your resume and a brief cover letter about your interest. The position will normally require a full summer or semester in Haiti, and the ability to cover your own expenses. Some French or Creole a plus, but not required. Photography / Videography skills a plus. This is an ongoing position, so we need at least one intern for each semester and summer. If this position meets a college requirement, our Director in Haiti will work with you to fulfill reporting, supervision and evaluation requirements. cost varies, depending on airfare from where you live, cost of your personal health insurance, and spending money you require while in Haiti. Internships can vary in length, but generally will be an entire semester, quarter, or summer. Available immediately.
