DescriptionWinifred Paper, a boutique design studio, is looking for 1-2 Marketing / Public Relations Interns to join our team immediately.
Based in Washington DC's bustling Georgetown neighborhood, Winifred Paper specializes in creating luxury invitations for weddings and social events. Winifred Paper also works with boutique brands to build beautiful visual identities for print and web.
Working directly with the Founder and Creative Director, Kelly Scarborough Watson, PR and Marketing Interns will assist with the launch and marketing of Winifred Paper's new brand and e-commerce platform debuting this summer. PR and Marketing Interns will have the opportunity to work in a highly creative, start-up environment with a small, talented group of individuals in a beautiful, open studio.
We are looking for a self-starter who is smart, savvy and motivated to hit the ground running. A passion for luxury goods, paper and design as well as a willingness to learn is essential. We would like to set a 20-25 hour/week schedule. Outstanding performers may be asked to continue internship into fall and/or be offered part/full-time employment upon graduation. This is a non-paid internship, with option for course credit. We will provide you lunch and a fantastic opportunity to build your resume. Candidates must be US Citizens or eligible to work in United States.
ResponsibilitiesRoles and Responsibilities:
May include but are not limited to–
–Support Founder as needed in daily tasks and client services
–Assist in research, creation and execution of media and marketing initiatives for Winifred Paper
–Research and maintain a database for clients and press
–Assist in copywriting for Winifred Paper's new blog, e-mail newsletter, and social media campaigns
–Assist in engaging with vendor contacts and press through social media channels
–Assist in research, plan and execution of press kit
–Create media calendar
–Assist in design of launch events
–Strong phone, communication and writing skills
–Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment; must be collaborative and flexible
–Enthusiastic about design and/or wedding industry
–Self starter who is hardworking and energetic
–Extremely organized and a creative thinker
–2014/2015 expected graduate with education experience in PR/Marketing or related field
