Our motion picture industry school seeks a virtual intern interested in learning and applying various skills in the public relations field. The intern who fills this position should expect to be involved hands-on, from day one, in various media related tasks and responsibilities. It is essential that applicants for this position have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of addressing the smallest details.


• Monitor various forms of media
• Schedule and coordinate speaking engagements, appearances, photo shoots, and other special activities
• Write press releases and other materials
• Create video interview preparation materials
• Prepare guests for on-camera interviews (in-person or via phone)
• Compile contact lists
• Search for press clippings
• Initiate, or respond to media communications
• Schedule media interviews


Students applying for this internship must have strong communication skills, be detail oriented and should be majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media, Radio/TV/Film or a related field. Applicants should also have strong writing skills, as well as a solid understanding of social media. Must be PC or Mac proficient, including Microsoft Office familiar (Word, PowerPoint, Excel...) Must be a currently enrolled student in good standing. This is a nonpaid internship, however a certificate of successful completion of the internship is provided at the end of the period.
