DescriptionFront Line Strategies is looking for interns!
Our firm is looking for an intern in the fields below:
- Public Relations
- Public Policy
- Applied American Politics
Our client list ranges from political and issue advocacy campaigns, to companies on the Fortune 10 List.
After the internship, our interns leave our firm with a keen understanding of the political and governmental public relations and political consulting professions.
Former interns have gone on to work for United States Senate campaigns, gubernatorial campaigns, Washington, DC-based public relations firms, high profile political think tanks, nationally recognized corporations, and as full-time paid employees in our firm.
We like for our interns to commit to at least 20 hours a week, and be available during the same set schedule each week.
We are a professional setting, so appropriate attire and a good attitude are expected.
This unpaid position is offered on a rolling basis, and can be as short as a semester in length, depending on school requirements.
This doesn't have to be a school credit hour situation, but we prefer that it is.
PLEASE NOTE: We are a Conservative/Republican-based PR firm.
ResponsibilitiesOur interns should be prepared to:
- answer phones
- enter data into Excel spreadsheets
- draft press releases
- attend client meetings
- monitor legislation
- apply their creative skills to fast-paced, problem-solving scenarios
Requirements- proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with a focus in Excel
- excellence in written and oral communication skills
- availability during the week between the hours
of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
