Description

Regan Communications is looking for students to fill our part or full-time positions to assist with our PR professionals. Gain hands-on experience in writing press releases, creating media lists and clips, event planning, and more. This internship is an unpaid opportunity, available for undergraduate or graduate course credit. A valid driver’s license is also required.

We offer our clients a full range of public relations, marketing, social media, advertising and video production services. Our staff comes from diverse backgrounds in media, public relations, marketing, government and the corporate world.

Our internship sessions:
Spring Term (January - May) - Applications are accepted/reviewed in November and December
Summer Term (May - August) - Applications are accepted/reviewed in March and April
Fall Term (September - December) - Applications are accepted/reviewed in July and August

Responsibilities

Intern responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: providing public relations support, drafting news releases, interacting with local and national media, compiling media lists and clips, running errands, coordinating special events, and occasional general office work such as phoning, faxing, and filing. Our interns are always encouraged to be up-to-date on current events online, in print, and on TV, as well as being social media savvy.

Requirements

We prefer juniors and seniors passionate about PR who can commit at least two full 9am - 5pm work days, but the more availability the better! Candidates should be self-starters who show initiative and creativity. You must also be a polished professional with excellent oral and written skills. We look for students who have previous internship experience, but we don't turn away those without. Did we mention we want you to be passionate about PR?!
