K Strategies is an award-winning public affairs firm recognized for our success in developing effective and influential diversity, public involvement and public relations programs. We are currently seeking to fill a part-time public relations position that could grow into a full-time position.

Job Description:
Responsibilities of the candidate may consist of the following:
• Write content for newsletters, social media platforms, websites, reports and marketing materials
• Develop and design newsletters and marketing collateral utilizing Adobe InDesign and/or Illustrator
• Assemble information and reports for managers
• Create Excel spreadsheets and tracking data and numbers
• Conduct research and present efficient information and conclusions
• Create transmittal letters and other mail and e-mail correspondence
• Develop administrative forms and report templates (in Microsoft Word and/or Excel and Adobe InDesign)
• Assist with event and public meeting coordination and execution
• Record (take) and create professional meeting minutes
• Manage registration and other activities at events and public meetings
• Answer company phones, welcome visitors and handle correspondence in a very professional manner

Requirements

Some criteria we are looking for in applicants include:

• Some college courses or degree in public relations, communications, public affairs or marketing
• Excellent writing communication skills (writing samples required)
• Exceptional graphic design skills (samples required)
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Strong experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Understanding of AP writing styles
• Professional demeanor, image and dress attire
• Outgoing personality, confident and great people skills
• Ability to take direction and thrive in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to occasionally work evenings to assist with special events
• Ability to participate in community and chamber events
• Available a minimum of 20 hours per week
