DescriptionHSP provides hands-on experience in the operation of a highly regarded not-for-profit.
We offer unpaid internships designed to fit your schedule within our regular work hours of Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m (9-5:30 in November and December.) We prefer our interns work 20 hours a week over a period of 3 months or longer if possible.
ResponsibilitiesPublic Relations Interns will:
•Manage the HSP’s social media sites.
•Write press releases, and maintain relationships with local media.
•Interview community leaders and organizations that have worked with HSP.
•Connect with current sponsorship groups such as schools, corporations, and service groups.
•Create informational flyers to educate community about HSP’s programs.
•Assist coordinator research and schedule speaking engagements with important community organizations for HSP’s speaker team.
Requirements•Comfortable with using basic computer operations in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
•Communications/Journalism or English major preferred but not required
•Perfect for someone with an interest in writing.
