Dates: This internship is offered year round.
Save The Bay seeks a highly motivated individual to support Save The Bay's public relations initiatives. The position will support the Communications Department. This internship will be approximately 14-21 hours per week.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with the creation and implementation of public relations plans
Maintain media lists and archive articles
Research and write articles for Save The Bay publications
Various responsibilities as they arise
RequirementsCollege students, recent graduates, graduate students or beginning professionals working towards or having obtained a BA/BS or higher degree in liberal arts, public relations, communications or a related field. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.75 or higher out of 4.0.
Computer experience (MS Office, database spreadsheet)
Availability for 14 hours a week during normal business hours.
Strong writing, editing and communication skills
Strong research skills
Experience writing press releases and news stories preferred
Adobe background a plus
Photography skills a plus
A highly motivated self -starter
A positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment and independently
Well organized and efficient
Work well in a high-energy, fast paced environment
Willing to do some manual labor, lifting, and get dirty
Comfortable making contact with the general public on Save The Bay’s behalf
Maintain professional demeanor on the telephone and email
