Operation HOPE’s Social Media Internship Program seeks to offer work experience to outstanding students pursuing degrees in the fields of public relations, advertising, social media or graphic design.

The Social Media Intern will be responsible for assisting the social media team in amplifying communication efforts across all Operation HOPE social media platforms and aiding in the design of engagement strategies.

The HOPE Social Media Fellow will be responsible for:
• Creating multimedia content to post on social media
• Managing and uploading content to our accounts from all of our markets and programs
• Working with the communications team to develop strategies to increase engagement and following across all social media platforms
• Managing conversations with Operation HOPE friends and followers
• Assisting in the design of social media strategy to support current events and promotions
• Assisting in the analysis of the success of campaigns and creating reports


General Qualifications
HOPE Interns are graduate or undergraduate students with specialized skills and interest to assist HOPE managers in a specific area. HOPE seeks talented, self-motivated individuals committed to global economic and social justice. Broadly, HOPE Interns generally have the following traits:

Social Media Qualifications:
• Background in marketing, communications fields or graphic design
• Proficient in best practices for creating a strong social media footprint
• Ability to analyze the success of social media efforts and use results to develop effective strategies
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop, HootSuite, MailChimp and Wordpress
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• SEO knowledge a plus
• Creativity a must
