DescriptionGENERAL SUMMARY: To assist Community Engagement Manager with volunteer and corporate sponsor engagement, including Women Build.
OUR MISSION: Seeking to put God’s love into action, San Diego Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Available at least two days per week.
Schedule can be made to accommodate a student’s changing schedule but interns typically work a three to four hour shift on the days they come into the office.
Intern will have an opportunity to hone professional skills and will receive feedback on work.
Intern will have the opportunity to shadow Community Engagement Manager
Additional onsite training will consist of an orientation, which includes an overview of the current and future projects of SDHFH and our on-going mission.

ResponsibilitiesRESPONSIBILITIES: Under the guidance and supervision of the Community Engagement Manager the Intern will:
Assist with prospect research
Assist with setting up presentation opportunities and booking venues
Assist with community outreach for the Women Build program
Enter data into database or spreadsheet
Schedule groups to volunteer
Answer volunteer questions
Manage community service program
Assist with administrative tasks related to Community Engagement
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse clientele
A high level of maturity, tact, and diplomacy
Excellent interpersonal communication, writing, and organizational skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be detail-oriented and have a strong willingness to learn
Must possess the ability to plan, organize, and handle multiple functions simultaneously and communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
