Always be on the alert for potentially fraudulent job postings online - never send money to a potential employer.
DescriptionYou will assist with outreach out to Fashion industry editors for an emerging high-end handbag/accessories brand. This is for placements in magazines, websites/blogs and other media outlets. You will create media lists (we have a wonderful database we use!), read industry blogs, review industry magazines and much more! You will basically be engulfed in all things high-end, luxury, fashion and girly ;D
You will also be required to post on social media a few times per week, on Instagram and Pinterest! Use of beatification apps such as Wordswag and FontCandy will assist with making beautiful imagery for the account and posting photos of the product with quotes over the images... etc. etc.
Since this is a virtual internship we use heavy email (email@example.com), Basecamp as our productivity portal and meet 2-3 times per week on the phone, and some Skype with the designer who is in Finland! Yes, FINLAND!! You must have a go-getter spirit, are optimistic and willing to learn a great deal about writing pitches and coming up with crafty angles.
This is a wonderful opportunity to build a working portfolio to have on-hand for potential employers/clients to review. And for the right person, it is also a HUGE opportunity to assist with a wonderful high-end brand that is stepping into the fashion scene.
It is great to be involved in school activities, but too many activities hurts productivity. We're looking for an intern who has up to 10-15 hours per week to work on assigned projects and can be personally coached. Prefer someone on the East Cost, but will consider Central if necessary
