Location: Washington, DC

InnovatorsBox, LLC provides creativity workshops and educational services for the public and corporations to empower professionals with creative confidence and creative insights.
InnovatorsBox is looking for a Marketing Director to serve as part of our Board of Leading Innovators. This role will focus on supporting the InnovatorsBox Founder and CEO on marketing strategy and execution for the company. The Marketing Director will
work closely with the Marketing and Operations Intern. We are seeking for someone
who is passionate about marketing, public relations, innovation and building community.
The length of commitment to voluntary service at this Board is 6 months with a
possibility for an extension based on performance and availability. While this is a volunteer position, the candidate will receive creativity educational opportunities and will be able attend any InnovatorsBox public events for free.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
● Designs, develops and implements marketing strategies to advertise the
organization's products/brands/services using social media
● Generates and posts social media content Monitors and engages community
targets in online conversations, fields questions and offers solutions
● Builds, grows and manages media and community relationships across a variety
of platforms (e.g., social media, blogs, email groups) to generate brand
awareness, encourage loyalty to the organization, and increase engagement of
target audiences
● Monitors, evaluates and reports on online community trends
● Markets the organization's products, brands and/or service
● Develops and evaluates pricing strategies and structures
● Maintains website to promote and sell the organization's products

Requirements

Requirements
This candidate must be a self­starter, detail­oriented, innovative thinker, naturally
curious to learn and determined to make an impact on a growing business. This
candidate must be able to meet the following minimal requirements:
● Ability to convey knowledge and information
● Record of successful community marketing
● Solid writing and communication skills
● Experience developing an effective Marketing Action Plan
● Ability to work independently as well as in a team
● Effective organizational and planning skills
● Ability to prioritize communications with possible or current partners
● Must have at least two years of experience in marketing, public relations, social
media
● Previous experience managing press
● Previous leadership skills
● Must be able to commit 6 ­ 15 hours per week
