DescriptionCLD PR is seeking PR Interns to start as soon as possible as our busiest time of year (Award show season) is just beginning. We would like you to work 1-4 days per week (see below for all details).
We are located in the fashion district of downtown LA. CLD PR specializes in celebrity and media seeding for fashion, shoe, and accessory designers around the world. We represent lines ranging in bridal, couture, ready to wear, swimwear, luxury and costume jewelry, home textiles, and evening wear.
We have worked with A-list talent such as, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Julia Roberts, Vanessa Hudgens, the Kardashian/Jenners, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Jared Leto, Mindy Kaling, Carrie Underwood, the list goes on and on. We have also had placements in top tier magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Nylon, V, Vanity Fair, as well as in all the weeklies.
What makes CLD PR unique is that we hire ALL entry level positions from our internship program. We strongly believe in giving opportunities to those who have worked with us and are eager to gain the experience needed to go from intern to employee in the fashion PR world. Approximately 60% of our staff all started off from our internship program. It's a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and grow with us!
This internship position is a key role in facilitating all aspects of PR. We have two departments, the showroom and media room. In regards to assisting the showroom, this will include helping garner placements on celebrities and in editorial sections magazines that use freelance stylists. The media side works on placing clients in magazine and online fashion/trend stories, editorials for major magazines where the magazines have their own staff of stylists (Vogue, Elle, etc.), blogger outreach and gifting, social media management, and ensuring any placements the celebrity team garnered are credited with designer information and secure placements of those shots in weekly/monthly magazines or online mentions.
RequirementsYou MUST HAVE a basic understanding of PR. Understanding this is crucial to your success in this fast paced and exciting department. We expect you to take initiative, think "outside the box", take responsibility for your work and conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times. Some basic functions of this position are building contact list, database management, interacting with stylists, editors and celebrity publicists, press releases, magazine press clippings, new client scouting, gifting suites for events, pick ups/drop offs, wrapping up pulls, prepping items for gifting, assisting with producing events, daily showroom upkeep, and light cleaning. Must own a laptop.
