DescriptionWe are a full service creative agency specializing in the Entertainment, Fashion and Music industries, seeking an Intern to help during the summer period.
As a Junior Publicist, you will write and manage the press releases and media kits for our clients. You will also be required to call all major publications to follow-up and manage media placements. You will be working very closely with our Managing Director who also oversees our Communications and various PR activities on a day-to-day basis both internal and external (consumer and trade).
The successful candidate will be bubbly and confident with daily interaction with media, high-level executives, clients, talent and executive producers.
Handle press efforts for weekly submissions including pitching, writing press releases, writing and distributing weekly releases etc.
Weekly Press Clips: Monitor online and print outlets for clips; compile weekly report for client distribution.
Draft and distribute press releases; Write and maintain press kits, materials and bios online, maintain and update all talent/show sheet contacts, and various external sites. Write and distribute (pitch coverage) executive /promotion announcements and pitch coverage. Organize executive headshots.
Coordinate publicity efforts for clients in the United States and international marketplace; act as liaison with talent, publicists production and internal departments. Organize talent travel and create comprehensive itineraries/write talking points and prep documents.
Support Managing Director/Comms Director for various administrative duties: answer phones, coordinate department meetings, research and source press contacts and materials, manage/sort press database, distribute invoices, etc.
Ability to work as part of a team and under tight deadlines.
Passion for television, pop culture, fashion and media.
Must have strong interest and experience in PR and marketing.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
The ideal candidate will have previous internship experience in an office/production/publicity environment and is currently undertaking a Marketing or Communications course. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office. But all are welcome.
