Description

KCSA Strategic Communications (www.kcsa.com) is an integrated communications firm that offers public relations, investor relations and marketing services. Our interns are provided a first-class, hands-on opportunity year round to work with some of the top minds in the field. Our interns have an opportunity to apply what they have learned in their classrooms to real-life public/investor relations campaigns.

At KCSA, students work closely with a designated team and work on several accounts, which will train the student to multitask and sharpen their internal/external communication skills. Among some of the projects that the students will be involved with include media/financial database development and maintenance, client administrative support, assisting in writing, editing and distributing news releases and pitch letters as well as making follow-up calls and scheduling client interviews with media and members of the financial community.

Requirements

- Must be a junior or senior going for an undergraduate degree OR a graduate student
- We require a set schedule for each intern, though we understand if an intern must take time off for exams. Interns have the option of working anytime between Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Please note: Most interns who intern at 20 or more hours a week find the work much more fulfilling (though it is not required).
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Creative thinker and team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Must have taken an intro to PR, IR, journalism or marketing course
