Description

Platinum Studio’s internship program offers college students and recent graduates the opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in the public relations field. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience researching and building media lists, learning to comfortably and proactively pitch reporters, working on events, coordinating editorial coverage results, drafting press releases and editorial pitch letters, developing and implementing social media strategies, brainstorming, planning, etc.

Intern candidates must have good communication/people skills, strong writing skills, be comfortable speaking on the phone, creativity, and have a genuine interest in public relations. Recent graduates (with a degree in PR, communications or marketing) or current students studying PR, journalism, marketing communications, or communications are preferred.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on public relations experience in the entertainment industry.



Roughly 10 - 20 hours a week. Only local candidates please. This is an unpaid internship for course credit and valuable experience.

Responsibilities

~Building media lists
~Learning to comfortably and proactively pitch reporters
~ Working on events,
~ Coordinating editorial coverage results
~Drafting press releases and editorial pitch letters
~Developing and implementing social media strategies
~Brainstorming, planning, etc.

Requirements

Recent graduates with a degree in PR, communications or marketing or current students studying PR, journalism, marketing communications, or communications are preferred.
