Description

BBB is seeking a motivated, energetic and highly organized individual to help further our mission of serving Central Oklahoma. Excellent communication skills and a strong interest in public and media relations is essential to succeed in this internship.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
• Assist in developing and contributing to public and media relations
• Communicate and build relationships with current or prospective news stations through targeted media outreach
• Developing, writing, and distributing press releases, newsletters, and other media materials
• Building and maintaining relationships with both local and national media
• Creating and maintaining events/awards/speaking engagement calendars for clients
• Tracking and organizing all media placements

Requirements

Requirements
• Skilled in creating, editing, and promoting written and visual content.
• Possesses skills in writing, presentation, interpersonal relations, and customer management
• Utilizes social media to engage with and connect with the local community
• Monitor news and developments relating to, or impacting, key industries and organizations
• Ability to identify potential opportunities for and create Talking Points and Q&A’s.
• Performs well in environment that values creativity, flexibility, and variety
