Public Relations Intern Needed!

San Diego based PR firm looking for it's next stellar intern! Here are a few things we are looking for!

-A writer. If you are articulate and can express yourself intelligently, we want you.

-A person who has a passion for technology and a strong desire to learn the foundational PR elements.

-A problem solver. We need someone that asks the right questions, finds the answers out themselves, and then presents the problem with some recommended solutions.


-Provide client support: participate in and attend meetings, meet deadlines

-Research, build and maintain core account materials: media lists, speaking and awards grids, trade shows and conferences, editorial calendars

-Assist in researching editorial opportunities with trade publications, newspapers and other magazines

-Research and prepare industry/news roundups and commentary for account teams and clients

-Contribute to outreach: media, influencer and analyst relations

-Write client materials: briefing docs, pitches, speaking abstracts, executive biographies and press releases


Basic Requirements:

-Desire to learn the ins and outs of PR

-Team-oriented attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed

-Desire to learn and advance within the agency

-Creativity and integrity, we are a PR agency, after all

-Ability to be strategic and work well under pressure

-Motivated, enthusiastic self-starter able to complete tasks within a set deadline

-Strong time management skills

-Strong communications skills (both verbal and written)

-Interest in working with startups plus or you're just super comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, plus you've never met a Google app or doc you don't know how to use

-A bachelor's degree or relevant classes and/or experience
