Royal Jets INC has an immediate need for a Public Relations intern to join our growing team. This position offers the undergraduate college students the opportunity to gain experience in their area of study by working alongside with Royal Jets INC. We are a licensed charter broker that has been in the business since 2012. The reason for our success is when it comes to air travel we provide an incomparable experience, as we always put our patron’s needs first and foremost. We are looking for juniors and seniors majoring in the Public Relations field with availability to start immediately. The students will be working within a team as well as independently. The Intern should expect to apply concepts and skills developed during the pursuit of an applicable undergraduate marketing degree.
The Intern is required to have a regular attendance and punctuality, as well as an outstanding desire to learn, grow, and succeed. An enthusiastic and creative attitude is expected, and must be detail oriented and organized.
Responsibilities Perform research and report findings.
Assist in developing and contributing to public relations and marketing activities.
Coordinate with news media as assigned, in development of appropriate news stories.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating events related to company promotions, partner development and other special functions.
Assisting the team in the implementation of new marketing strategies.
Write informative press releases.
Offer daily support on team’s initiatives.
Tracking consumer data.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Juniors and seniors undergraduate student currently enrolled in an accredited College/University seeking a degree in Public Relations.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Residency not more than 15 miles away from New York City.
Availability to work 2 or 3 times a week.
Business background preferred.
Excellent research skills.
Ability to work in teams.
Good Communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with deadlines.
