TO THE MARKET | Survivor-made Goods (TTM) aims to use the powers of commerce and storytelling to improve the lives of the world’s most courageous survivor populations. TO THE MARKET | Survivor-made Goods combines an understanding of business and the market with years of experience serving survivor populations on the ground. Our unique three-pronged social enterprise model:
1. Promoting survivor-made goods TO THE MARKET via multiple distribution channels. Pop-up shops, custom sourcing, retail partnerships, and soon to be launched global platform – our beautifully designed and curated online shop.
2. Offering a platform for survivors and their champions to share their stories with a new, larger audience of eyes, ears and hearts. More storytelling + more awareness = more impact!
3. Providing business services, like trend forecasting, management advice, and sales analysis, to local partners to contribute to highly covetable inventory, effective work environments, and more market-driven production.
ResponsibilitiesTTM seeks a part-time public relations intern to pursue of number of public relations-related projects. Projects will include, but are not limited to: identifying bloggers and influencers to reach out to regarding TTM; potential press targets; and conferences or events related to TTM’s mission. The intern(s) will also work closely TTM’s CEO on the continuing development of TTM’s e-commerce store.
RequirementsIdeal candidates will have the following skill-sets:
Experience pitching stories.
Experience writing blog posts.
Experience researching influencers.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication, strong editing skills
Attributes interns are expected to have:
Lots of energy
Ability to develop a detailed and professional PR plan
Knowledge of social media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs, etc.
