The Door internship program is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have an entrepreneurial spirit and want to gain practical experience in public relations, branding and marketing with a focus on the entertainment and food/hospitality industry. The Door offers a wealth of hands on experience that will complement your classroom learning and bolster your resume.

ResponsibilitiesIntern Responsibilities and Learning Objectives
Track client media placements, review relevant news publications
Create communication materials; press releases, press kits, fact sheets
Research trends in the media industry and client industry
Build media lists using CisionPoint, the leading PR media database
Assist with and attend client and media events
Hands on experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company
Ongoing mentoring from a small group of seasoned PR professionals
Interaction with a diverse range of clients, on a local and national level
Participate in staff meetings and weekly staff calls with all The Door offices
Networking opportunities at client and media events
Fall or Spring semester availability
Available minimum 3 days a week
Must have writing experience, interest in and/or major in PR or relevant field
Microsoft Office proficient
Graphic design and Photoshop skills are a plus
Personal Laptop (Preferred not required)
