Are you considering a career in public relations/media relations or marketing and looking for practical experience or ways to apply your coursework in the real world? Based in Woodland Hills, Productivity PR’s internship program offers college students and recent graduates the opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in the public relations field. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience researching and building media lists, learning to comfortably and proactively pitch reporters, coordinating editorial coverage results, drafting press releases and editorial pitch letters, social media for marketing consumer products, brainstorming, planning, etc.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on public relations experience in a friendly and energetic atmosphere.

Agency Description:
Based in Woodland Hills, Productivity PR Inc. is a boutique public relations specializing in the publicity of consumer products such as housewares, juvenile gear and accessories, luxury lifestyle items, consumer electronics, toys, consumer health products, pet products, and fashion accessories. In addition to working closely with traditional media outlets, we work with our clients to coordinate or aide their social networking and celebrity gifting efforts.


Our interns will gain invaluable experience learning and using Cision to build media contact lists and relationships with reporters, writing pitch letters, pitching reporters, participating in brainstorms, and interacting with clients.

Roughly 10 - 20 hours a week. Only local candidates please. This is an unpaid internship for course credit and valuable experience.


Must be enrolled in or recently completed classes in public relations, journalism or marketing communications and have a vested interest in pursuing a career in public relations.

Intern candidates should also have good communication/people skills, strong writing skills, be comfortable speaking on the phone, creativity, and have a genuine interest in public relations. Recent graduates (with a degree in PR, communications or marketing) or current students studying PR, journalism, marketing communications, or communications are preferred.
