Description

Our company, Franken Enterprises, had a 50 year plus history in public relations and special events. Our office is located in a beautiful office building adjacent to LAX. This position will include mainly public relations activities. Also, some event planning activities. Interns will be taught various public relations skills including writing press releases, media alerts, bios, creating EPK's, securing celebrities for events. Interns will also assist i on event planning for various events we either organize or work for. You will work mainly on the Big Game 10K Weekend.

Responsibilities

Interns will write press releases, media alerts, create media lists, pitch stories to the media in writing and also verbally. Interns will also work in planning various events including the Village Runner 4th of July 5K in Redondo Beach, the Big Game 10K Weekend in Las Vegas, and the Saint Patrick's Day 5K Interns will also do research about prospective story ideasas well as different companies we are working with. Interns will learn to create press strategies and timelines for events.

Requirements

Interns should have a strong interest in sports and entertainment public relations. Classes in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, and advertising are all helpful. Good writing skills are important as well as strong people skills. Organizational skills also a plus.
