Description

Pagegirl Public Relations assists small to mid-sized business with public relations strategies. The company's goal is to create meaningful content and effective PR and marketing communications campaigns, integrated across any page or screen read for maximum impact - whether digital, online, print or broadcast. We are a small, but growing company. This position will incorporate social media integration with PR strategies for several agency accounts, including retail and non-profit organizations. The intern will be required to assist with social media campaigns, analytics and reporting, while also learning about new dashboard technologies, public relations tactics and various aspects of running a small business. The company is located in Greenville, SC, but the intern does not have to be onsite at the business location. Rather, a virtual arrangement is acceptable, with ongoing weekly meetings and phone calls held to discuss work and progress. The position is a part-time paid position with flexibility.

Responsibilities

- Write and post social media content
- Write content and copy for marketing communications pieces
- Write and distribute press releases
- Write and Pitch stories to local/national media
- Research media and create databases
- Provide social media analytics and reports
- Generate creative campaign ideas and implement them
- Assist with new business proposals
- Basic administrative tasks, including filing, record keeping, etc.

Requirements

Must be an expert in Google and Microsoft office, and expertise across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Google+ and Google Ad Words. Experience with dashboard tools such as Hootsuite is desired. Coursework in public relations, media communications and/or marketing is desired.
