NYC&G is looking for an outstanding editorial intern for the summer. As an intern at NYC&G, you will be a valuable resource to a hard-working staff as you learn the ropes of magazine publication from a dedicated and creative team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can manage work independently. A positive attitude, interest in interior design, and a genuine desire to understand the editorial process from start to finish are a must.
Responsibilities• Assist in compiling and cross-checking Resources and Source List
• Assist editors with story research
• Help research products to be featured in Shop Talk pieces
• Fact-check stories
• Help send out magazines and assist with basic office duties.
The Resources and Source List would be a large part of the intern's responsibilities and there are several additional duties under that umbrella but I don't think it'd make sense to list all of them in a standard internship posting because you'd probably have to be familiar with Resources/ Source List to understand it. It's something we can talk to the interns about during the interview. Also, a large part of their duties would be assisting editors and helping with story research, which is hard to break down into more bullets.

The intern is expected to work 4 days per week, Monday-Friday. The shifts for this internship are 9:00 AM – 5:00pm with a 1 hour lunch.
