I am Sarah Lancaster, the Area Director (Publisher) for Southside Village Life. A neighborhood publication that is distributed exclusively to all of the homes West of the Trail from Mound St. to Siesta Dr. The publication is a local who's who of the area, basically a magazine For the neighbors and by the neighbors. The neighbors write most of the articles and the articles are all about the neighborhood. Kids, pets, local events, block parties, yard of the month and featured businesses. It's a full color, 50 page, glossy magazine which is seen by over 3,000 members of the neighborhood and the businesses that support it.
I am looking for an experienced editor to edit our monthly neighborhood magazine as well as assist in obtaining qualified business leads. This position offers flexible hours, some can even be accomplished remotely. Interns also have the opportunity to attend monthly social neighborhood events and be connected with some of the most influential people in Sarasota. Please call or e-mail me to discuss.

ResponsibilitiesReview and edit 5 - 10 articles; most are short articles under 300 words - Can be done remotely.
Assist Publisher in maintaining and updating an active leads list on excel, approx. 2 -3 hours/ week, some of which may need to be in the office.
Possibly calling on businesses and setting appointments. (can discuss, not a requirement)
