Immediate openings for part time Editorial Interns to join our Wantagh, Long Island Editorial Department at a nationally-recognized mortgage industry trade publication and tennis publications. If you are looking for an internship with publications that will give you hands-on, real world business experience that affords you a level of responsibility unsurpassed in most internships, then this position is for you. Flexible schedules available to meet your academic schedule. If your college will consider granting college credit or other benefits resulting from your internship we will complete forms as needed for same.
We are seeking bright, highly-organized, detail-oriented, poised and articulate individuals to handle their duties and more with a natural ability to prioritize projects including:
+ Confidence on the phone and via e-mail when dealing with contacts nationwide and firm in mandating deadlines.
+ Strong follow-up and organization skills and the ability to successfully take an assignment from inception to completion.
+ The ability to handle and manage multiple projects and works in progress.
+ The ability to post content and stories on the Web.
+ The ability to research stories and fact-check content to verify the validity and accuracy of your work.
+ Proofing of content.
Ideal candidates will have a track in college that supports strong creative writing, verbal, phone and computer skills (including familiarity with Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Internet), including strong English, editing, proofreading and organizational skills.
