Description

Proven journalism/news/interview related experience a must. Candidate will be able to package the stories with entertainment value and in a compelling style. The ideal candidate will have: a willingness to be active in the community and participate in station events. Advanced audio production skills and social media fluency are a big plus. Significant experience in a broadcast newsroom and/or reporting experience is a plus. Be prepared to submit on air demo on line if contacted for an interview

Operate cameras to produce live coverage for the Internet and closed circuit cable television.
Research, write, shoot, edit, and produce video or radio segments for VetsTalkRadio
Conduct radio interviews with legislators and legislative staff or advocates within the community.
Learn about various aspects of broadcast journalism and television production from industry professionals.

Responsibilities

A willingness to be active in the community and participate in station events;
Ability to do pre-screening, scheduling and package stories with entertainment values;
Commute to the internship location twice a week for a minimum of 8 hours per week;
Audio production skills and social media fluency;
Experience in a newsroom, articles, and/or reporting experience.

Candidates enrolled for a Certification, Associates, Bachelors or Masters degree at any university are invited to apply. Students attending other institutions of higher education are welcome to apply
