Radio Management InternshipBookmark This
The Freeform Radio Initiative
DescriptionParty 934 is a community radio station that broadcasts from all over the world. Each on-air personality on the air is located in a different part of the world, broadcasting live to the Internet. Currently, over 90 on-air personalities host shows ranging from talk, hip hop, R&B, jazz, electronica, folk, blues, world, and much more. Since Party 934 is not a "formatted" radio station, personalities are afforded the opportunity to be as diverse as they'd like on the air. In fact, some of our programs feature multiple genres during their show, while others focus on one or two related genres. We encourage our personalities to be different and to engage their audience through their live radio program. Best of all, we broadcast in a non-competitive, commercial-free environment.
We are looking for a few talented, creative, and forward-thinking management interns who are interested in learning more about mass communications; specifically, radio management.
Interns will be trained, supervised, and mentored by the Executive Director and/or Program Director.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities associated with this position include critiquing our on-air team, providing technical assistance to our on-air team, helping promote the station via social media, training new on-air personalities with our software, and others. On-air opportunities exist for those interested in presenting their own radio program.
