We're seeking interns for a Saturday Radio Program in Chicago, on internet station on Q4 and AM1680. This radio program is on every Saturday from 1-4pm. There is no particular show theme, however, the show takes on a silly, but smart demeanor and often political, conspiracy, and adult themes. We're looking for a few people to help us grow the program. Your title will be "intern" because no one on this show is getting paid to do it. We do it because it's fun! If you would like to be a part of it, please respond with your area of interest, outline your background and tell us how you could contribute to the show.
Sound Technician: When we're onsite doing a live broadcast we need someone to run the sound board back at the station. This position requires minimal sound engineering experience.
Social Media Guru: The qualified individual will have a smart phone or other that will lend itself nicely to post pictures and video on social media sites, and our guest's social media sites etc. . . during the Saturday radio show. You will work with the "interviewer/video personality" and post videos in a timely manner.
Video Personality: The qualified individual will have an interest and/or is pursuing a career in radio, acting, theater or television. This person is confident and quick on their feet. You will interview guests before and after their 'guest' spot on the radio program.
Co-Host: We're looking for several co-hosts that can commit to 1-2 Saturdays per month with a rotating schedule. The radio show is every Saturday from 1-4pm. The ideal co-host will have a background in improv and/or pursuing a career in radio, theater, or television. We prefer someone who is outrageous and outgoing; not afraid to speak their mind. If you do improv or theater acting and you play a character that you believe would be a great co-host, we want to talk to you. Must have a desire to contribute to the show.
