Description

Our internship program will provide you with an opportunity to combine your hard earned book learning with some necessary real world experience. The internship offers the opportunity to explore career interests, network with professionals, develop an understanding of the broadcasting industry, and have some fun while learning.

Carib Riddims is a Caribbean radio station designed to provide a platform for Caribbean artists to showcase their projects to a global market. This station also provides an opportunity for individuals living outside the Caribbean diaspora to rebuild connections to the music, culture, and people.

Responsibilities

- Assist in all aspects of radio communications and contribute to planning
- Assist in the end-to-end process
- Record voice overs
- Use existing original and content to produce new shows
- Contribute to mixing and editing to create polished and engaging radio programs
_ Screening phone calls
- Posting blogs based on content or opinions that directly relate to Caribriddims
target audience.
- Interacting and socializing with listeners via phones and text messages
- Assisting radio hosts with on-air prep
- Recording, editing and mixing content in Adobe Audition or other application
- Assisting any in-studio staff with work per request

Requirements

- Have the potential to deliver radio spots succinctly and clearly
- Experience with Virtual DJ, Numark and other radio equipment
- Knowledge of radio equipment
