City Vision Internships is a Christian one-year, multi-year or summer internship program based on the AmeriCorps model. Interns serve at one of over 40 positions across the USA and Canada. In the past 10 years, we have placed over 500 full-time interns and 68,000+ volunteers in hundreds of Christian ministries.

For Interns without a Bachelors Degree: One Year (or summer) Work Study Internship

Provides a work study internship with free tuition in City Vision College for a full year paid by
hosting ministry.
Online courses providing accredited degrees in Nonprofit Management, Addiction Studies,
and Urban Missions.
Housing is provided by hosting ministry (or a cash equivalent living

Heartland ministries radio exists to provide Christian music and programming to our region while providing resources and promotion to local churches and non profits to help them succeed in their mission of advancing the kingdom of God

We own and operate three non-commercial Christian radio stations.

WVHM 90.5. Format: southern gospel

Elevate FM 89.7. Format: Hot A/C (Christian, pop, rock, and urban).

Thrive FM 88.1. Format: praise and worship

In this position your duties will include a four hour Daily on-air shift on one station, or two four hour shifts pre-recorded (recording a four hour shift takes approximately 1 hour to complete), aired on two stations. This shift will minister to thousands of people in our area as you share prepared thoughts, inspirational news stories, and Bible verses in between music programming. You will also have duties as a campus outreach coordinator to both Murray State University and West Kentucky Community and Technical College. This will include gathering information on campus events that our stations can be a part of, brainstorming creative ways to make inroads on campus, and working with campus ministers to support their ministries. This position may include other duties as necessary.


-At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
-Must be a Christian
-U.S. or Canadian citizen, U.S. or Canadian national or lawful permanent resident alien, or have a valid
student or work visa
-Able to make at least a summer (May 20-August 9) commitment (may be extended by mutual agreement)
-Able to financially live on just free housing and any outside income sources you have.
-Able to relocate to a location of a ministry site (unless a site exists at your current location)
