DescriptionComponents Research is a strategically-placed group of researchers within Intel's worldwide Technology and Manufacturing group (TMG) responsible for delivering leading-edge RD solutions on all aspects of semiconductor processing and packaging. Components Research is looking for excellent students currently enrolled in Ph.D. track programs to drive results-focused, 3-month programs in areas such as novel materials development, packaging, interface engineering, polymers, interconnect definition,and novel device physics. Interns in these positions will be working closely with Intel research engineers investigating novel aspects of semiconductor processing, integration and/or design.
Candidates must be enrolled in a PhD track graduate program in one of the following degree specialties : Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
Additional qualifications include:
- Keen experimental insight / ability to devise and focus on key experiments
- Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork skills
- Highly motivated, and excited by self-directed hands-on work
- Semiconductor processing experience is not required, but is a plus
