Description

The Dr Theodore Atlas Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to serving the community and underprivileged, is looking for an intern interested in learning all aspects of the development and grant writing field. The intern who fills this position should expect to learn a wide variety of disciplines for development and grant writing with foundational, corporate, and government organizations. The intern will complete graduate from this program ready to enter any non-profit group with excellent skills. It's essential that applicants to this position have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details.

Responsibilities

• Researching available and applicable grants
• Data entry and time-lining for grant proposals
• Research, retrieval and assembly of background material for grant proposals
• Drafting of letters of inquiry and assisting in full grant proposals for submission

The primary responsibility will be for the research of applicable potential grant opportunities, assisting in the drafting of LOI’s and application narratives.

Requirements

Students applying for this internship must have strong communication skills and should be majoring in Communications, Marketing or Journalism. Applicants should also have strong writing skills.

Only interns proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications should apply.
