DescriptionTheCelebrityCafe.com seeks anthropology, sociology, or history students to assist with our magazine's research.
TheCelebrityCafe.com offers a 12-week internship that will enable students to practice their classroom learning in a real-world environment, and showcase their talents on the longest-running entertainment magazine on the Internet. Interns will receive regular feedback on their work from editors, and will be followed throughout the program by TheCelebrityCafe.com's staff of professional journalists.
Here’s what you need to know about the program:
The internship is an unpaid, work from home position for college credit.
It’s only 10 hours a week for 12 weeks.
Work from home in your pj’s – or however you’re most comfortable - all you need is a computer and reliable internet.
You will be part of a long-term writing project for TheCelebrityCafe.com called Cafepedia. Launched July 2013 it is our own database of everything entertainment. These “landing pages” will include writers, actors, musicians, producers, on-screen personalities from news programs, etc. like this - http://thecelebritycafe.com/tv/parenthood.
You will learn how to use HTML to make a page pretty using text, graphics, video and more!
We teach you how to use social media to your advantage by combining who you are with what you do. (aka personal branding) Each bio/data form has it’s own link, so you can share your work anywhere. These links also go into our stories.
You will undergo on-the-job training to provide a working knowledge of online publishing.
Social media promotion and personal branding techniques will be taught and use of Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, etc are REQUIRED for all of our programs.
Academic credit is easy to get. We work with any requirements your school has.
