CJR welcomes the opportunity to be a part of your educational and professional development in the field of social services. We look for hard-working, detail-oriented individuals with a strong interest in Social Services.The position begins in December 2012 or January 2013, with a flexible ending date (at least 4 months required).

Responsibilities

Requirements: Coursework related to Business, Social Service, Social Enterprise, public policy and/or communications are preferred. Candidate may major in Social Work, Political Science, Business - Social Enterprise, Public Affairs, Accounting and Bookkeeping, public policy or related field. • Requires a person who can represent the organization in a professional and positive manner, work with all types of people and can communicate effectively. Experience in advocacy and/or social services, marketing, political or grassroots activities a plus.

Good online research, excellent writing, and organizational skills are a must.
The ability to concisely summarize large amounts of complex information.
Self-motivation and the capacity to work independently while functioning well as a member of the team.

A willingness to do routine data input efficiently & accurately.
Strong research and writing skills.

Attention to detail and accurate spelling are essential.

Selected candidate may be required to work remotely.

Requirements

Research is an ongoing, rigorous process that requires hard work and attention to detail, but
most of all enthusiasm for Social Enterprise. Interns can expect to help the Research
Department compile databases, help track and research events throughout the
State of Illinois. Interns will also research issues and policy relevant to CJR throughout the State of Illinois, and perform other tasks as needed.
